Education and Training

Swajib Society operates two major education initiatives: Child Education for children aged 5–12 years, and Training & Technical Education for adolescents aged 13 and above. These programmes are designed to support neglected and underprivileged children who have limited access to formal schooling.

Our primary education programme follows a curriculum aligned with the national standards used in government and private primary schools across Bangladesh. To ensure that students are not overburdened, the curriculum focuses only on essential subjects, including Bengali, English, Mathematics, Social Science, and Religion. Two examinations are held each year, and students are promoted to the next class based on their academic performance.

All educational expenses—such as teachers’ salaries, free books, and classroom materials—are fully covered by the organization’s own resources. At present, the programme is being implemented across four districts: Dhaka, Gazipur, Jamalpur, and Narayanganj. Swajib Society currently operates five schools staffed by fifteen dedicated teachers, providing education to approximately 125 students each year.

After completing primary education, students are enrolled in our Technical Education and Training Programme, where they receive practical training and skill development to prepare them for future livelihoods. In recent years, we have expanded our Primary Education and Training Programme to additional districts, with the goal of reaching more underserved children across the country.
